How to upgrade to Windows 11 on your windows 10 PC
Windows 10 has been with us for years now. But, this year Microsoft has released a new upgrade to windows and called it windows 11. Its got a lot of new features, a new look and some small tweaks.
Microsoft has decided to roll out the updates to everyone in stages depending on a lot of criteria. But the first basic requirements are
Processor
1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster with 2 or more cores on a compatible 64-bit processor or System on a Chip (SoC)
Memory
4 GB RAM
Storage
64 GB or larger storage device
System firmware
UEFI, Secure Boot capable. Check here for information on how your PC might be able to meet this requirement.
TPM
Trusted Platform Module (TPM) version 2.0. Check here for instructions on how your PC might be enabled to meet this requirement.
Graphics card
Compatible with DirectX 12 or later with WDDM 2.0 driver.
Display
High definition (720p) display that is greater than 9” diagonally, 8 bits per colour channel.
Internet connection
Microsoft account and internet connectivity required for setup for Windows 11 Home
Your device must be running Windows 10, version 2004 or later, to
upgrade. Free updates are available through Windows Update in
Settings>Update and Security.

- If you want to do it the easy way, use the Windows 11 Installation Assistant; just click “Download Now” and follow the instructions.
- You can also create a bootable USB or DVD by selecting “Create Windows 11 Installation Media.”
- And finally, you can download a disk image (ISO) for either bootable media or a virtual machine install.
Follow the directions, and you should be good for an
immediate install of Windows 11.
